One Piece has one of the coolest and most efficient power anime systems in the anime universe. It consists of two elements - Devil Fruits and Haki. The former is the one that makes One Piece's world interesting and provides scope for the development of the story of the franchise further with intriguing plots and subplots. Devil Fruits give superpowers to the people (or even an inanimate object like Shuzo's bazooka, Alpacacino) who end up eating them. The franchise has showcased a wide gamut of Devil Fruits with varying and fascinating superpowers over the years.
Devil Fruits are divided into three major types - Paramecia type, Zoan type, and Logia type. Paramecia type is the most common Devil Fruits that provide their user with one of the various superpowers like rubber body or shockwave generation, etc. Zoan-type Devil Fruits grant their users the power to transform into an animal (including mythical creatures) and even grant a form that comprises the characteristics of the user and the animal. Lastly, the Logia type is the rarest type of Devil Fruits that grant their users the superpower of creating, controlling, and transforming their body into a natural element like Light, Magma, Ice, etc. But there is one Devil Fruit that is more useful than the others, and it's the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix, a Zoan-type Devil Fruit wielded by the former 1st division commander of the Whitebeard pirates.

The Blue Phoenix
The Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix is a Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows its user to transform into a magnificent blue phoenix or transform into a human-phoenix hybrid form at will. This Devil Fruit is the most useful one in the entire franchise so far and is used by Marco, the former 1st division commander of the Whitebeard pirates. The ability to turn into a phoenix or a human-phoenix hybrid at will is also the reason why Marco is popularly known as "Marco The Phoenix" across the seas. As suggested by this Devil Fruit's model name, it allows its user (currently Marco) to use any of the powers or abilities of the mythical creature phoenix.
This Devil Fruit allows Marco to alter select parts of his body as he needs to since he has mastery over his transformation. It also enhances his physical abilities bestowing him with enough strength to face and restrain two powerful ancient Zoan-type users at the same time. He can also use his phoenix claws to accurately slash his enemies in a fight.
Flames of Resurrection
Flames are a core element of a phoenix, and since Marco has the powers of a phoenix because of Tori Tori no Mi, he is also granted the 'Flames of Resurrection' that he can freely create on any part of his body even without transforming into a phoenix. These flames allow him to any wound or injury that he faces be it minor or major. The flames of resurrection always cover him up when in his transformed state. These phoenix flames are blue, stronger than the normal fire, and have effective healing properties that allow Marco to re-generate from any physical damages he receives. These properties of his are equivalent to the ability of a phoenix to be reborn staying true to the model of his Devil Fruit.
Marco can even share these healing flames with multiple individuals as well as the time he shared his flames to save the samurais fighting on Onigashima island to save them from Queen's artificial virus, Ice Oni. Though, his flames become less effective on anybody other than himself. It is also speculated by the fans that he can also completely die and be reborn just like a phoenix, however, it has not been confirmed by Eiichiro Oda yet.
Flight
There is one downside to most of the Devil Fruits which is that they destroy the ability of their users to swim in the water. And this has got the worst trade for the people of One Piece world since the franchise is set around pirates and their adventures of sailing the various seas. Devil Fruits are a risky trade-off where the users give up their ability to swim in the water for superpowers or superhuman abilities. This trade-off is more than risky since everything in the franchise revolves around seas and sailing adventures where the Devil Fruit users (marines, pirates, and citizens) can easily fall into the deep waters during a battle or a weather catastrophe and easily drown.
But Marco's Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix breaks this barrier of not being able to swim as a result of using a Devil Fruit because one of the most powerful abilities that it gives Marco is the ability of flight. Marco can fly anywhere and everywhere when in his phoenix and human-phoenix hybrid transformation states as the flames of resurrection form wings on his body and grant him the power of flying. This ability makes him stand out among the other Devil Fruit users as it makes him successfully defeat the downside of using a Devil Fruit, he cannot swim, but he can fly. This and all the above-mentioned superpowers that are granted to Marco make the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix, the most useful Devil Fruit in the One Piece world so far.
