What Size Goggles Are Right for You?
Based on the size of your head and preferences, you’ll want to find the right goggle size to match.
Typically small and medium goggles will work well for children and women with small/average heads. In comparison, medium and large goggles will work well for most men and some women with large heads.
Finding the Right Size
The guidelines below will give you an idea of the right size for your head. But as always, the best practice is to try them on.
- Small goggles: For children up to age 15, and Women with smaller heads
- Medium goggles: For most Women and Men with small/average size heads
- Large goggles: For Men and Women with large heads, or those who prefer larger goggles
Changes from Old Oakley Season Sizing
After the 2020/2021 season Oakley changed the sizing names used on their goggles, moving to Small/Medium/Large names from XS/XM/XL.
This has added some confusion as some retailers haven’t fully updated their websites and inventory. But for quick reference, you can find the equivalent sizes below:
Considering Your Helmet
When you’re trying on and buying your goggles, be sure to consider your helmet. We usually recommend bringing your helmet when you’re trying on goggles; that way, you’ll know they fit.
But generally, this shouldn’t be too much of an issue since almost every Oakley goggle is designed to be universally compatible with ski and snowboarding helmets.
For 2024, Oakley has continued to optimize helmet compatibility across their goggle lineup, making adjustments to strap lengths and frame shapes to fit even more seamlessly with popular helmets like the Giro Range MIPS and Smith Vantage. For best results, try on goggles with your specific helmet to ensure the perfect fit.
Low Bridge Fit Goggles
Oakley also offers Low Bridge Fit variations of their goggles. You may also know this fit by its previous name, “Asian Fit.”
These Low Bridge Fit goggles are adapted to be more comfortable for people with high cheekbones, a flatter nose, and a shorter distance between their nose and ears.

Where to Buy Oakley Goggles?
You can buy Oakley ski goggles from Oakley’s website or your local ski store. And while your local ski/snow store may not have the largest selection, going in person will give you the chance to try them on before buying.
But once you’ve found the right pair, you may want to look online. That’s because you can often save 20-30% off new Oakley goggles through Oakley sales or aftermarket sites like our Oakley Forum Exchange.
