Lakeside Shakespeare presents Romeo & Juliet—experience the magic of outdoor theater performed by an ensemble of professional Chicago actors. Pre-show begins at 6:30pm, show begins at 7pm.

Admission is pay-what-you-can with a suggested donation of $30 for adults and $10 for kids 12 & under. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket, your own picnic, and enjoy the Bard under the stars!

Children in our community, ages 3 - 6th grade completed, are invited to “Dive Into Friendship With God” and come to “SCUBA” Vacation Bible School, hosted by Blaine Christian Church, Monday, August 5 - Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 6 - 8:10 pm each evening.

This event is open to the public and is designed to help children have the BEST week of the summer at no cost. Pre-K and Kindergarten age children will enjoy activities designed especially for them in the “Tide Pool Pre-School”.

Registration starts Monday night at 5:40 pm at the church (additional registration times are available each night a few minutes before 6 pm). Blaine Christian Church is located at 7018 Putney Road (corner of Joyfield and Putney Roads), in Arcadia.

Since everything is designed to be hands-on, it is recommended that children dress in play clothes.

During their four days of fun, children will learn about giving and helping others by donating non-perishable food items each evening to help Benzie Area Christian Neighbors (BACN), located in Benzonia. They provide food and other services for those in need in our county. There will also be a donation jar for children to give to BACN.

On Sunday, August 11th, at 10 am, the children will wrap up their Vacation Bible School experience through singing their songs and sharing what they learned during a combined worship service. This is open to the public. Hope to “SEA” you there!

The annual Fall Festival festivities begin at 10 when the CARNIVAL opens! Enjoy old-fashioned carnival rides, games and food down in the open space. Carnival weekend hourse are:TBD

The Fall Festival Parade, featuring locally built floats and the always popular Mutt March will begin at 11am. We are accepting participants for the Parade and Mutt March. You can register on the Chamber website at www.frankfort-elberta.com

Don't forget to grab your Fall Festival Souvenir T-Shirts, souvenir stickers and coozies at the Frankfort-Elberta Chamber of Commerce booth the day of the festival or at the Chamber officeprior to the festival and/or after.

Directly following the parade, a host of activities will take place in the Open Space Park.

Mutt March Awards

Live Music under the beer tent featuring Jim Hawley Band and Scottville Clown Band (11:30-4pm) will perform under the Big Tent, which also features domestic beer and wine and beer from Stormcloud, Wine, Mead from St. Ambrose and co*cktails from Iron Fish!

GIANT pumpkins, squash and watermelon weigh-in.

Kids 5-15 years of age can guess the weight of a giant pumpkin and have the opportunity to win a brand new BIKE!
