  What an amazing week full of great conversations, scientific exchange, and inspiration at the Tucson Symposium 2024, together with Thierry P.P. van den Bosch, PhD en Mark Steenbergen.We learned about novel therapeutic strategies for patients and the role of omics biomarkers in patient management. The relevance of (multi-cancer) early detection and screening, all while never losing sight of prevention. Many groundbreaking technologies have been shared, from multiplexing and novel virtual staining to rapid detection of genomic alterations from H&E and generative AI analysis. I'm feeling fortunate to live in a country with access to these novel innovations. I was truly impressed by dr. Emmanuella Amoako, who shared with us the unmet needs of cancer care in Africa and highlighted how diversity and inclusivity contributes to precision medicine for all of us. We were reminded that, in the value of diagnostics lies the value of life; for the patient, the family and their community.As the symposium wrapped up, one thing's clear: we're not done, not yet. #tucsonsymposium2024 #rochediagnostics

  WOW. Reflecting on TOMORROWLAB fills us with pride 🚀I had the incredible opportunity to present at TOMORROWLAB, an event for our customers that felt like a journey into the future of diagnostics. Bart van den Bogaard and I were excited to share our insights about the value medical algorithms bring to clinical practice. It was an honor to share the stage that day with so many incredible speakers; Robert de Jonge, Ian Parfrement, and Rafael Jacom shared their vision on the transformation of diagnostics, the value of diagnostics to deliver the right care, and the integration of different disciplines in the lab. TOMORROWLAB wasn't just about looking ahead – it was also about honoring our past and reflecting on the current challenges we see today. It was clear that collaboration, digitalization and data exchange were key to optimize network care, and to ultimately deliver the best care for patients. Thanks to the organizing team, all speakers, and of course everybody present for making this event a great success.   Cancer care should not be determined by who you are or where you live. Early detection and accurate diagnosis are pivotal in ensuring appropriate cancer care and improve patients outcomes. Yet for many patients across the world, cancer is diagnosed at a late stage, making it more difficult to treat.
