Chimken Burgers
Whether your peckish pup needs a warming winter dinner or a BBQ snack on a hot summer’s day, these canine chicken burgers are pawfect for any time of the year. This chicken dog treat recipe can be served up as a healthy pup portion, or else use them as individual snacks. Canines will go crazy for these mouthwatering mini meals, just don’t forget to keep them away from other hazardous BBQ foods like corn-on-the-cobs and kebabs on skewers! For your peace of mind, we’ve had this recipe reviewed by a vet, to be sure that it doesn’t contain anything that’s generally toxic to dogs, but check with your vet if you’re unsure whether it’s suitable for your canine companion.

Ingredients:
1 cup (175g) minced chicken (you can swap this for any kind of minced meat, but try to use a lean version)
1/2 cup (55g) pumpkin
1 large stalk of kale (or any other dark, leafy green such as spinach)
1/3 cup (55g) firm tofu
1 tablespoon cheese (optional)
Instructions:
- Finely chop the pumpkin and kale, or use a food processor. Either way is fine!
- Mix the pumpkin, kale, minced meat, tofu, and cheese.
- Form little patties (about 1.5 inches in diameter) and about 0.5 inches thick. Tip: Small patties cook much faster and evenly.
- Heat your non-stick pan till it's really hot. Alternatively, you can either bake them in the oven for 15 minutes at 350°F (or 180°C) or use an air fryer at the same temperature and timing as the oven.
- Once your pan or oven is hot, gently place the patties in the pan or on a baking tray. Cook the first side for about 2 mins.
- Next, flip them over and let them cook for another minute or two.
- If you’re using a pan, add 5 tablespoons of water, cover the pan, and let them cook for about 5 mins.
- Wait for these tasty treats to cool down, then they’re ready to serve!
