This was one of the first yarns I purchased when I learned to crochet. I lived in a tiny town with no craft stores, but I could find this at Walmart. I've used it for hats and blankets and even a cardigan or two. I'd love to make something for my daughter to take with her to college this fall!

I love Simply Soft, and I've used it a lot. I think the first project was the first sweater I made for myself. It turned out as a long tunic, since the pattern actually called for a more lightweight yarn, but I love it!

My first project was an amigurumi beach with a palm tree surrounded by the ocean. I also made a starfish, a whale, an octopus, and a turtle. It was so easy to work with and is so soft. My granddaughter loves playing with it. Since then I made a baby blanket with it for our neighbors’ new baby boy! I love working with it and am always trying to find a reason to make something else…🥰

I can’t remember my first project with Caron Simply Soft but I do remember my largest. I used it for my 2022 temperature blanket. I made it with 12 granny squares with 31 rounds each. The colors, determined by the daily high temperatures, were so vibrant, the texture was soft, and it became a huge, beautiful weighted blanket.

Caron Simply Soft has been my go-to for years so I can't remember the first projects I created with it. However, my most memorable would be my 2022 temp blanket made with two-tone solid granny squares. It's nearly queen sized. I used 13 colors and each square represented the daily high and low. I absolutely love it.
I'm currently working on a 2023 corner-to-corner blanket and a 2024 hexagon granny blanket.

This yarn is my go to favorite. Been using it since I started crocheting and knitting. Caron Simply Soft is a hooker stable. My very first project with it was actually learning how to crochet. My grandma made me chain till I couldn't see straight. My very first project on my own was knitting a comforter for my bed. I bought out Purple Plum in a 20 mile radius from my house in the 90's. I usually use this when I know it going to touch skin. So gloves, hats, footies, scarves, baklavas and what not. To win this world be amazing because I only buy when I am actually making something. To have some fun yarn would be amazing.

I made a nice double-stranded winter hat of my own design to match an infinity scarf a friend of mine had made me a few years before. She couldn't remember what pattern she used but all that matters is that it was the same yarn which I then used to make a pair of fingerless mitts to match the hat.

Back in the day, I used it to crochet baby booties for a humanitarian project - 100 pairs, a personal challenge! My most recent project with it is a llama and cactus C2C colorwork blanket, which I made in January 2024. It was my very first C2C, so I used an old friend - Caron Simply Soft - so at least one factor would be familiar! It turned out great, like everything I've used this yarn for.
